Lando Norris Tops Piastri in Sao Paulo Practice
The British driver has outperformed Oscar Piastri at all of the previous five grands prix.
The McLaren driver narrowly beat team-mate and title rival the Australian for the top spot in the closing stages of the practice session at the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.
Norris, who seized the title advantage from his teammate by one point after his victory in the Mexican Grand Prix recently, topped the Australian by 0.023 seconds.
Earlier in the session, Piastri had been the quickest of the McLaren pair throughout the hour before the sprint shootout scheduled for 6:30 PM GMT.
The Red Bull star, the other racer in realistic title contention, trailing 36 points behind behind Norris, ended up in 17th position as his Red Bull team followed a alternative strategy.
His teammate the Japanese driver was the only driver to crash, though minor, when he lost control at Turn Four early in the session.

The Aston Martin of the Spanish driver was fourth quickest, with Sauber's Gabriel Bortoleto in front of the Mercedes of Russell and the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and Williams' Carlos Sainz.
